Automated call supposed to be about my Amazon prime account which has already been renewed for the year
24 March 2023 got a message supposedly from my bank to say there had been an attempt to make a transaction to a famous Gym company in Aberdeen. I rang this number and got a woman with an AFro Caribbean sounding accent. Listened a while ,gave her no info and told her the line was noisy and would call back. Rang the fraud dept of my bank using the number on the back of my credit card and found out it was a big scam ............

Cold call claiming to be about my Life insurance from "MEH", they had my name but no details as to who my provider(s) were. Talking about issue of not being covered due to non-disclosure for older policies. Claimed not to be sales, but during the call I did hear in the background applause and cheers (which indicates someone did make a sale in the same room). I suspect it is a scam designed either to sell you a product or get information about your existing products
This number contacted me this morning the 19th of January and said they were from bank security I checked with my bank to be told its a scam

Fraudulently claim to be O2, this is a LIE, these people are criminals. They would probably try to steal personal information for identity or financial theft if not called out as liars. They dropped the call when challenged.

SCAM Only one person calls me on my landlinge and that's my brother but somehow it seems to have been circulated to scammers and/or on the dark web. This number called on my landline (getting lots from lots of false numbers for months now) and it was a silent call. I called it from my mobile (number withheld) and it wasn't a recognised number. Indian gentleman on the other end claiming to be from PC World trying to offer me a brand new iPhone 14 pro. After asking to remove number, guy called me back just to ask why I was laughing at him...
No one else seems to have searched for it (the other search with no review was still me). I'm not completely sure. But this number doesn't appear anywhere on Google (while other legit places' number appear with the source). It feels very untrustworthy. The call on itself was strange. A machine voice said that a letter was returned, and that legal actions will be implemented. It didn't explain why would the return of said letter would require legal actions nor the content of the letter. Very iffy.
Claimed to be able to save me money on my mobile phone bill. Claimed originally to be from EE, but that isn't my provider, he then argued with me about my provider - he eventually hung up. I always keep them talking as much as possible to save the next poor victim.
