Sounded suspect to me from an unknown company wanting to talk about my broadband. Took ages to respond when I answered which usually means they are calling multiple numbers and then nebulous about answering why they were calling. Be wary.

Medical it’s a care company for disabled and elderly people
Called us trying to get us to “renew” a care plan, and only wanted our bank account details so they could send us renewal details. Claimed that “under GDPR, they could not retain those details”. Said that as soon as they got those details they would call back and verify then send details. Kept trying to “explain”. When told it sounded like a scam, they transferred me to another person. A cold call. Caller said that I had a problem with my internet for 3 weeks and his engineers were fixing the problem. Caller did not use my name or the name of my internet provider. Caller did not answer any of my questions but carried on reading from his script. I am sure that this was some sort of SCAM attempt. As usual I did not give the caller any information that would identify me or any account that I may have.

Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

says credit investigation company when I picked up the call. I questioned their authenticity and was talked over when trying to ask questions so no listening skills there. Alarm bells are ringing ... what an amateur setup. Call leads to a lesser used number from a geographical location (Bolton). Calls blocked. NB: Don't be the 'one' who accepts this, ask questions, no sales & marketing company (legit or not) will make calls like this, question EVERYTHING you have been WARNED! don't do it be vigilant.

Also using same number on whatsapp business and on twitter @RealShehryar to lure people into investing money. Very dangerous person. Stay away to keep safe.

its a scam even if it is 118 because they sell your data at no gain to you. If its unsolicited hang up because I have never seen any unsolicited call from an unknown person being to your benefit - normally its quite the opposite.

A man called saying he was calling on behalf of O2, saying under O2 I was eligible for a reduced business contract. When I challenged him that he was not calling from O2 he then said he was calling from a company called YourMobile.com which 'works with an O2 platinum business partner' (Plan.com).
