I have no contacts in U.K. and I never before received any scam calls (approx 15 years). This call lasted 10 seconds after I answered it and person on the other side of the line was quiet and would not respond. Number displayed on my phone was +44 7900 862866.

this number called from a local area code which i prseummed was a job, said he was from a manchester call centre which is around 80 miles from my location about an accident that i had in the last 3 yeas that never happened for a vechicle i no longer own. when quiet when i started =asking questions then went off the line. I am so angry at these people. I am away on business and my phone is constantly ringing in meetings. I am out of the country and I think its urgent. As some above - calling in regards to debt seeking someone who has never lived at this address. We suffered from repeated calls of the same nature from MacKenzie Hall / PRA Group for years and once we managed to get PRA to stay on the phone long enough to give an address wrote to them explaining the situation and demanding they cease harassment. That worked for approx 12 months until 8am this morning when calls for the same wrong person resumed. Presumably - knowing that the contact details are incorrect -
