this was a robotic voice saying my internet would be cut off and them wanting to change my ip address, obviously a scam but supposedly a local number

Not spam or a scam. They're Custom Insurance & Mortgage Solutions. I have my life assurance cover through them. They ring me every year to see if I need anything else.

Just called this morning and told me they got my number from Data Locator group and gave me a 01923 number to contact and get my name and number off the list - has anyone tried this?

Trying to flog HS services by cold calling TPS registered numbers.

Car accident claim scam-mongers, probably a robot, female voice, said a company name so quickly I couldn t catch it. The opening speech was along the lines of I m calling because you were in a car accident that wasn t your fault, is that right? . Said no and put the phone on one side - call ended after 23 seconds, but at least it was at their cost. Am registered with TPS for this mobile, so will report and block.

Turns out it is a local call number for an American selling investment advice, so best avoided.

said he was from the MINISTRY of Justice!, and that I had incurred bank charges and was owed money. wanted to get my first name and date of birth. I said i was called Jeff - I m a woman- and gave a false dob before I hung up. Strong male Asian accent - another load of old rubbish and making nuisance of themselves

Calls asking for hmrc questions with a woman with a jaunty voice don t seem right

Called my home phone asking to speak with a business, told them no business here. Kept calling so I entertained the call until they asked for my bank details. When I said i was with metro bank, they said never heard of it. That was the second red flag, the first was him saying they hadnt heard of E-on Energy - as calling from OPUS. So When he suddenly found metro bank on his system and asked for my sort code i was quite rude and said F Off stop scamming people.

recorded message advising that internet would be cut off, Ive heard this message at a friends house also so would hazard a guess that this is a scam - the number that dialled was different at my friends house. Message says to press 1 to speak to BT

NEVER call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed number which could be a very expensive call.

These guys never stop calling you! They re trying to sell life insurance and they keep calling me although I said no a lot of times. Might as well block the number.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Keep getting calls from this number and when you answer there is noone on there, we had about 10 in 1 day.
