Called me but dropped the call without a word as soon as I answered.

When I answer, it rings another number so I cut it off before that one was answered. I can only imagine this works as a reverse charge call because effectively you end up calling them. I have been called once a day for the past week by this number. Guess it is an advertising call centre or something. But will probably never find out because I cut them off.

I received a call from 02476994182 but I am assuming it is the same/similar - I answered, barely got out the word "hello" and they had hung up (they called my mobile which took it as a WiFi call).Silent call SPAM
Male voice, indian accent. All I could understand was "I am calling you today......... mam". I asked him to speak slowly and clearly, he repeated the garbled content and I told him I didnt understand and needed him to speak slowly. He hung up. Sounded like a typical phishing call. Sad he hung up, I like to play them along for a while just for my entertainment and waste their time.
I gave my details to get an online quote not a phone call. Not appreciating the overzealous marketing efforts
The caller asks about what phone brand you own and how much monthly you pay for your mobile plan, tells you it is too expensive, and then offers you a 40% discount for a different plan, and tries to get your personal details. To me looks like a scam scheme.

SCAM ,this number called me and when I answered they said my virgin media had been hacked into and I needed to give them my info so they could sort it.Reported them,they then called my landline and my partners mobile.Persistent if nothing else.DONT EVEN ANSWER THIS NUMBER!!!
Got a call from 01564634905. The operator said he worked for UK Debt Solutions, it was a bit difficult to understand him because of his Indian like accent and I was right next to some factories thrumming away. He was polite, he said he was part of a government scheme to reduce debt.and my details were on some sort of database, which is entirely possible. Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.

Probably not a call from Orpington - there was a clicking before a connection was made suggesting a spoof number. A south asian female voice asked for me by name. I said not me and asked who she was. The call was then immediately ended at her end. In my view this is highly likely to be a dangerous scam call.

This is for the government eco4 scheme, the gentleman who called was trying to qualify people for the free incentive. from what I gather they are putting people through to government contractors, if you qualify. I have oil heating, so i was told that there was no funding at the moment. polite gentleman, who said that if i did qualify all the contactors that are assigned to the customer can be checked on line or through cheka trade etc. any company that can be checked through those measures sounds ok.
