Had a call about our washing machine warranty being out of date. He rang off when I asked a few questions about their company [difficult to hear what he said at this point] and how he came by his information. Usual garbage, but sounded British. This might be a follow up from a so-called survey I foolishly agreed to go through a few days ago - and during which I asked NOT to be contacted from, I assume, the people instigating it in the first place. This number was a representative from a Greenpeace call agency. I checked with Greenpeace to validate this call and they confirmed it. They were asking for a direct debit payment after acquiring my number from a petition I signed. The service was friendly and informative and not malicious unless you don't like charity pressure calling.

Didn't like it when i said i'll just delete my amazon account so no reason to ever call me again. people like this make me sick, trying to scam others out of their hard earned money. She called my elderly parents phone, luckily i answered so they were not tricked into believing this rubbish
It's a home appliance insurance scam. They called my elderly mother and tried to make her think it was her existing insurance company but it's actually a fak-ish looking company called J&L Home Assist. They tried to get my mum to hand over her bank details and persisted even when she said she wasn't comfortable doing that. A bit of investigation reveals that there are a number of similar fake companies doing the same thing, all claiming to be in the Bournemouth area.

Apparently this is the Energy Advice Team and I thought this company were just cold calling me. I soon realised that they were just responding to my application regarding an air source heat pump and solar pv panels on either Facebook or Instagram. They are actually a very friendly and knowledgeable company.
