SCAM Indian caller with poor English said they were from a company called Reclaim and a claim that I had made had been successful and they had £300 and something money ready to pay me. I told them I had no such claim and they had the wrong number and I hung up.
SPAM - called and left no message! If any call in my opinion is legitimate, a voicemail message should be left giving the recipient a chance to return the communication after careful consideration! Normally if the caller is reluctant to leave voicemail it’s because they are trying to extract info out of you via questionable means without any recourse. If that’s not the case then surly a voicemail with their info would be reasonable would it not ?
TAXES / HMRC Claimed to be from "Her Majesty Revenue and Customs" about an official letter. (So many things wrong with this; American accent, mobile number, omitted 's, "her" not "his", etc.) Obvious SCAM.

Claim to be Virign Media, saying there's a problem with my broadband. Hung up when i reponded 10 to number of lights on the modem. Disappointed about that, wamt to have a rant, just for fun. Called three times this morning and left no message on my answering service so, obviously nothing important, other than being a nuisance.
Recorded message claiming to be from 'bank security' (bank unidentified) telling me of two transactions of £300 and £1100 made using my 'card' (also unidentified) and asking a for a number to be pressed for further information. I hung up.The number appeared to be a standard Cambridge number, but not one I recognised.

When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all. The call was from a VISA fraud checking unit. However the number was the fax number for a garage in Penkridge, Stafford that closed down some time ago. Clearly scammers have cloned the number.
