Received a call stating from British Gas with regards to my boiler cover. Advised that I will be covered for £22 a month and asked for my sortcode and account number. They also advised that if I had any issues with my boiler I should call the freephone number which was 01202 138 752. When I advised them that I work for British Gas Services which I do they hung up. Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

SCAM Call from this number and again a male with a strong Asian accent. He knew my name and asked if I was that person. I didn't confirm but when I questionned him about who he was, he said he was calling from Health Department. When I asked him to define WHICH Health Department, he stalled. I said "you don't know, do you? There are many UK Health departments". At this point he simply hung up. I consider thiis a risk and potential scam.

I had checked my account this morning , knew it to be untrue so cut off the call. they tried to ring twice more in 10 minutes but declined, then blocked. My bank unaware so reported to Action Fraud.
