Rang me and checked my name and the proceeded to tell me he wanted to talk to me about my computer I told him I suspected he was trying to defraud me and put the phone down.

SPAM recorded call today saying they were from the bank and a payment for £700 had been made to Amazon and £2000 had been transferred elsewhere. The usual press 1 to transfer or press 2 to speak to someone. I hung up.

POTENTIAL SCAM Caller (with an Indian accent and in a noisy call centre) claimed to be from Amazon Security Department. She was checking whether I'd placed an order for £749... I said I hadn't. Did not identify themselves on the message but it was about an international money transfer on a debit of credit card. told to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to an advisor. I treated this as a phishing call, ignored the instruction and blocked the number.

This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).

My laptop locked when I pressed a link, it stated my IP address was compromised and gave me this number to ring Microsoft. I called it was not professional I knew something was up do not follow their instructions. Close and restart your PC

Sajnos fáradt voltam, nem figyeltem, ráadásul volt is függőben lévő külföldi megrendelésem. Beleszaladtam a csapdába, megadtam az adatokat. Szerencsére gyorsan kapcsoltam és azonnal beléptem a bankomba, ahol lenulláztam a bankkártya limitemet.
