Said they wanted to make sure is was getting the best service then asked for first line of address and post code, which i didn't give. SCAM - A female recorded voice with an English accent said that it was a call from Amazon and my Amazon Prime subscription had just been renewed in the sum of £95. I was given options of pressing 1 or 2 for different courses of action. I did absolutely nothing and about 30 seconds later the call cleared.
Claim to be from BT Openreach, saying our IP address has been hacked and being used by someone else. I said I didn't believe her, she said "You don't belieb?", then hanged up.

Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!

A recording allegedly from amazon about suspicious activity on your account. You are only given one option which is to press 1 to talk to someone and the line goes dead.
SCAM highly likely. Red flag to call on a non working bank holiday and leave no message. Also nobody has our new home phone number - so must have got it from a spam call list. Proceed with caution.
