SCAM Asian sounding woman said she was from Virgin Media - they see problems with my broadband. I had the same call yesterday from a different number. They cannot prove they are from Virgin and try to get you to do the ASSOC command or similar so they can prove they know what they're doing.

Called saying hmrc saying that they work for and on behalf of the court fines dept. They ask for your personal information and if you don't pay will have a warrant out for your arrest.

This looks to be a scam. I telephoned this number after missing a call and receiving a voicemail message from someone calling himself "John" asking me to call another number. The above telephone number is an automated voicemail service(possibly USA), with no company name given or any indication of identity.

I rang the 0800 number below and although Nena Patel doesn t work their any longer , I spoke to a very helpful man called Alex who listened carefully and checked which survey I was being called about. He then took my number off the list and said I would no longer receive calls about that survey. I used to work for Stellar (temporary after redundancy). It was an awful job that paid minimum wage with no bonus. One thing I can say about them is they are genuine partners of BT which you can see at bt.com/partners. The agents that call you have all received training of a higher standard than BT agents as they wish to protect their contracts and we actually did genuinely want our customers to get a better deal. Yes we can check who you are currently with, but it takes time so it s easier just to ask. Sor
