Call from 0121 057 4018 today telling me I d been in an accident that wasn t my fault. As soon as I said I didn t drive, she hung up.

Classic "involved in an accident that wasnt your fault" I get calls from this number and several iterations of it a week. This was from a lady called Rose. They always have information of an accident I never remember having myself!

After confirming I had been "exclusively" chosen to join their lottery syndicate, of which I politely declined, the caller commented on how nice I sounded on the phone, and could he personally keep in touch! Creepy!!

Constant calling, no messages left

Told me to not talk to my solicitor or anybody else about the call. Called me after posting an ad on Gumtree. Used my name and car model from the ad and asked about an accident.

Called asking if I had life insurance and wanted to discuss some changes to regulations. They wanted me to tell them is I had life insurance now or in the past...which I obviously didn t divulge, then hung up! The caller had a very strong eastern European accent and was very difficult to understand.

Three possibilities : they bought the number for their business from a telecoms provider, they hijacked it from a genuine user, or they spoofed it.
