These morons called my work number with an automated message telling me to call them back. The number they called is for an organisation with thousands of employees and the number they called is not for any individual. I had already blocked this number as a "cold caller" on my iPhone but these people are breaking the UK law by circumventing my block action and forcing my phone to ring. Fortunately, I ring fence ALL such numbers in one contact with a generic name "suggesting" they are all a waste of time do don t answer!
Very persistent, apparently works on commission. Sounded like a nice bloke trying very hard to make some money but... beware. Obvious indian or pakistani accent but then gave a very english name. Never give personal details or commit anything on a cold call.

Fraud trying to steal money from people who have lost dogs. Pretending to have the dog but won't send pictures or anything until money is sent.
Car accident claim scam-mongers, probably a robot, female voice, said a company name so quickly I couldn t catch it. The opening speech was along the lines of I m calling because you were in a car accident that wasn t your fault, is that right? . Said no and put the phone on one side - call ended after 23 seconds, but at least it was at their cost. Am registered with TPS for this mobile, so will report and block.

I gave her a mouth full hopefully ruining her day - great stress relief people :)

Usual stuff. Today i asked them to hold the line while I find the details. Set the timer and put the phone on mute. I ve had them wait for as long as 10 minutes before. The more time I waste the less they harass somebody else.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
