Was called up by a scam callcenter that told me that there was a problem with a payout from my life insurance, They had my name and phone number, but everything else was very clearly not legit so not the most professional scam I've seen.

Pretending to be from O2 and they send a text message to your mobile with a six digit code in, do not give them this code. Hang up and inform O2 immediately.

Reckon they are from Amazon and put a hold on my account due to a transaction for £700+. Press one to speak to an adviser. Needless to say I hung up.

Have done my research and investigated and found out it's something to do with a Crypto currency scam!!! I have never got involved in crypto currency and unsure how they had access to my number. Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

SPAM Firm called Trading World Centre - refused to provide a number to call them back on or who their regulatory body is.
