This number called me x8 and when you call back it says no such number

Called as it s a local number to me (Amesbury) I picked up as could have been a trustworthy number. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone.

When i challenged the caller she said her name was Wendy and she was calling from manchester and it was regarding a hoilday i had booked in march next year. i have booked no holiday, and a soon as i said i had been in touch with the police regarding calls form the wales area she hung up. hmmm

read on here they are scammers..all types of scams including twlling you you want tv insurance...which nearly worked on a friend of mines elderly mum..what i want to know is that this is a obvious scam..trying to exort money from people then why have they not been looked into yet ..its been going a while..i got a call today and put the phone down..then realised they have rang me half a dozen times this year..surely some one like the police or someone monitors these sites and checks these scammers out..why d

CALLS FROM COMPANY CLAIMING TO ACT KN BEHALF OF O2. TRYING TO GET ME TO UPGRADE. I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH O2 GIVING OUT MY CONTRACT DETAILS TO OTHERS. DESPITE TELLING THIS FIRM I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY CONTINUE CALLING. THEY JUST HANG UP IF I COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR HARASSMENT. TRIED CALLING O2 TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM BUT WAITED 15 MINS WITH NO SIGN OF A HUMAN VOICE TO TALK TO. WILL BE TAKING MY MOBILE CONTRACT ELSEWHERE.

They ve bought an out of date list of names and numbers and are calling purporting to be a legal team. They asked by name for someone who used to use this number > 10 years ago.

Some company called Trust Money touting for business, cold callers.

I m ex directory & this clown rang from 0141 212 8500 speaking in an aggressive manner, demanding to know if I was Mr Harrison (I m not) I said, you ve rang me on an ex directory number, so you tell me your name first, & so it went on, until he got increasingly demanding and said he s track me down by another method. I told him, I d be reporting him to the Information Commissions Office for breaching the legislation with regards to unlawful access top my data - & to jog on! I v also blocked the number. He

Called a couple of times, but cut off when I picked up. I think it is a spoofed ID as the first 5 digits are a local number but the next two appear ficticious.
