Called at 5:15pm 6.7.23. Calling about solar panels being installed in your area and are you the owner of the house. I didn't go any further, just said 'Goodbye' and put the 'phone down. I am pretty sure that had I held on they would have wanted to arrange to come and see property about installing solar panels. I class this as 'dangerous' especially if they get through to vulnerable persons.
Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!
Pretending to be O2 offering discount on mobile, had to get him to repeat himself about 50 times. Scammers!!!
Out so service number, sounded like a Sky con, difficult to understand the man on the line, due to accent.

Did not identify themselves on the message but it was about an international money transfer on a debit of credit card. told to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to an advisor. I treated this as a phishing call, ignored the instruction and blocked the number.
They called Yesterday Afternoon, I didn't answer this call but my mobile marked it as SPAM automatically in my missed calls.
POSSIBLE SCAM A female caller "Jess" said she was from Solar Energy Advice Ltd , offering reduced cost equipment in return for using it in a promotion. I asked if she had heard of the TPS, and her silence indicated she had not. I told her that unsolicited calls to a TPS registered number, without checking the TPS list, could mean a £5000 fine for her company. Then I hung up. A Google search for the company name shows NO company with that name appears to exist in the UK.

I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! ActiveQuote - Private Health insurance. Call center They call at renewal time, presumably so they can get another commission. I chose my existing provider from a comparison website and don't need any "advice" to renew with them. Obviously, if you keep change providers any pre-existing medical conditions won't be covered. You can supposedly email [email protected] to update your preferences. I haven't tried it yet, but it should stop the calls.
