Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". He persisted for a little longer before he hung up on

Just been called by this number "To check I m on the best tariff for broadband, phone and TV". I asked where he had my telephone number as I m on the telephone preference service and he said they buy in data and I must have opted in for a call from Simplified Digital.

A fishing expedition. Asked me about a car accident that wasn't my fault. What accident!

Vehicle repair company used by insurance companies. No problem.

Yorkshire accent, Exeter number. Claimed they were calling on behalf of the Association of British Insurers. When pressed, admitted it was actually the "Motor Advice Bureau". Pressed further, he admitted it was a personal injury (or as he put it, "personal welfare") claims referral. They ve bought an out of date list of names and numbers and are calling purporting to be a legal team. They asked by name for someone who used to use this number > 10 years ago.

Line went dead whan picked up, probabaly using auto dialling

They call throughout the week and hang up. I have reported them twice through the Which campaign against nuisance calls and texts

This number keeps phoning me but you cant return call just dead at other end ! Very annoying as I was abroad .at the time phoned 5 times in one day

Pre recorded message re missold payment protection insurance. Standard woffle saying I could get up to £4000 in compensation. Press 2 to speak to an adviser, or alternatively save yourself money and put the phone down. The majority of people could deal with the banks etc themselves thus saving themselves the fees that these claim companies would charge.
