I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. I have already reported this number. It is the dialling code owned by mobile provider Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. I do not know the ID of the phone number 874428 other than what garbled message I've heard suggests it may be from India. I'm unable to make a connection but Hutchinson's have an Indian call centre; from a limited number of reviews it seems Hutchinson's don't have a very good reputation as a provider of services.

Cold-calling to do with promoting books on Amazon.com for self-published authors. I am not the person they’re trying to contact, although they have the same name. Poor research on their part. They also have my email address. It looks like a London number, but I’m not 100% convinced that it’s UK based. They referred to Amazon.com, not Amazon.co.uk. Caller had an American accent. Judging by other reviews, they’re looking scam money from you. This is a new direction. SCAM

Lady claimed that unknown to myself I have a bitcoin account open in my name with 4.5 bitcoin in it. All I needed to do was prove my identity and she would kindly sort out how I could activate the account and claim my money. It had apparently been opened accidentally when I had clicked on an advertising link. Isn't that just too good to be true?
