Was calling, had all the wrong details about me, was after another name, but then decided they d try with their spiel anyway. Not sure if it s genuine or not, but was trying to get me interested in smart meters for my gas/electric. I told them I was on direct debit and that swiftly ended the call.

Was waiting for a call, so answered the landline. Asian gent, very strong accent, asking for my husband. Repeatedly told him he wasn t available, asked him which company was calling and to remove my number from their list as I was registered with TPS(useless, I know!). I got a missed call on my home phone from 020 7394 9231, when I rang back the person (he spoke with a foreign accent) said they had mad no phone calls that day from that number....
Classic "involved in an accident that wasnt your fault" I get calls from this number and several iterations of it a week. This was from a lady called Rose. They always have information of an accident I never remember having myself!

SCAM - automated call saying I was under investigation by HMRC and there was a warrant for my arrest for non payment of taxes. Wanted me to press 1, which I didn't - can't be 100% sure but I expect they were after personal/bank details, in any case it's not a legitimate call.

Scam. Definitely. So-called call from "security department". I asked 'security department' of what? The woman (Asian voice - lots of background "office" noise) repeated, 'This is the Security Department!' to which I repeated "Of what?!" She hung up. Point made. Case closed. Catch the bastards!
Phones and quickly stops, then leaves a voice mail with a text to speech voice claiming before they "take this to county court, phone..." Block this number and don't call back.
Fraud Call was recorded message purporting to be from Amazon and saying that payent of £399 had been taken for my order, if I did not authorise this press 1. So hung up, so obviously a fraud. Caller ID on phone showed a local geographical number, most likely that this was fake. Telecoms companies should have a way of identifying the origin of these calls and should really address this lawbreaking, ie conspiracy to commit fraud.
