Fraud- called to say that my NI number would be suspended immediately, used in suspicious activity and to press 1 to speak to an officer before I was arrested and assets sieged.
SCAM said they were calling from virgin media and my internet was running slow. I questioned that he was from v.m. as they would put compensation credit on next billing - surely ?? Sounded like a busy telesales background noise. Man spoke English but with a strong Indian subcontinent accent.
Rang out twice only then disconnected.

He phoned me on Sunday in response to my ad and offered me the spare parts I wanted for my classic car. We agreed a price and then he said he wanted payment by bank transfer as he was about to go away on holiday. Please don't believe these people!
