Called my grandmother saying they were from the telephone preference service. Asked if she still pays her phone bill by direct debit. Then asked for her card expiry date. Grandmother knew that the telephone preference service was free and luckily knew this was a scam call. Don t give them anything!

Gave 08081433718 to call back on, but I have ignored it all so that I could check out who these people are. Clearly scammers as I suspected, but he does his best to sound convincing and gives some details and even a post code in Reading which is Microsoft's Headquarters (RZ6 1WG), but not enough details to make it genuine (as it clearly is not). Had a call from this mobile number saying he was calling from Claim Easy about my PPI claim, that I m sure I didn t raise. When I called him out on the mobile number he said goodbye and hung up.

Had a missed call from this number. Thought it was a normal mobile so rang them back. I was then told by my mobile company I had insufficient funds to make the call. I have free minutes as a PAYG customer, but always keep a bit of credit as well just in case. I then found that calling this number had cost me money, not sure how much, but if I had had more credit I think it would have cost a lot more. My network have been very unhelpful about this!
