Received an SMS with a shortened t.ly URL leading to a WhatsApp chat group invitation, seemingly to do with Bitcoin investment.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Scam call. Asking me to renew appliance cover which I don't have.

Automated call Called by this number saying that this is a warning that some money will be taken from my account today. I have never heard of a bank that calls a person without the person calling forst so it is obviously a scam. Not sure how they scam, but I have blocked this caller now and it will be blocked forever. Just be aware and check your passwords etc on your bank details.

00918045708684 called 30 May 23 at 10:38hours. Female voice advised that my "visa account had been debited £1xxxx from a gambling ??? in California, press 1 to talk to our ???. or 2 to authorise payment ", hung on for a short while to hear if anything followed..... nothing so hung up.

Fraud I was called informing me that it was from VISA & I had two recent payments on my card: one for £300 & the other for £1100. I have neither.

Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse. Could barely understand a word he was saying. I'm not a customer of Carphone Warehouse so I hung up.
