Been rang by this number several times this week, but they would not leave a message on my answer machine. They rang at 3pm today, so i answered the call. Was told they were Consumer helpline, and i was owed an over payment on a loan in 2011. Never had a loan. so they were phishing. Was told they had been given the wrong information. Don t know how they got my number as Ex-directory.

Seemed like a scam from this number. They called saying I won something from walking around a mall. I never go to malls. They said it was a long time ago. I hung up before anything else so lm not sure what info they would ask for.

Mentions checking National Insurance number check. Obvious scam as some of the grammar is confused but quite alarming on first hearing. Recorded message saying that I have been involved in a tax fraud and that if I don't respond to them then a warrant for my arrest will be issued. Checked the number and it doesn't come back to HMRC
