14.04.22 SPAM call telling me some one has used my card and spent £300 and £1000, Press 1 for customer services.

Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. Called saying they were HSBC and wanted to check a transaction on my account Asked me to confirm my date of birth but I told them I would ring back Called the bank on another number and they checked my account there were no issues flagged Therefore a phishing call however this person seemed to know my name and date of birth

I have been telephoned this afternoon – apparently by EE – to tell me that I was getting a 45% discount on my bill for the next year? I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. They then said that they would email me and I would need to change the password to EEdefault19: at this point I told the caller I would hang-up.

Automated mail saying there had been charges to my bank card. Checked online banking and can't see anything. Will obviously monitor my account but my bank would have called me from a corporate number surely!

SCAM - has to be. This number called me today. I do not answer unrecognised numbers. They left a voice mail, foreign voice, couldn't really pick up on everything said, voice was quite deep. They did say I needed to make a payment and to answer emails. Up until this mornings call I had had no emails asking for payment - not that I would answer them anyway. email in my Inbox purporting to be from Bulb (My Energy Company) - I have a DD with them they would not act in this way = DELETED !
