automated call stating 2 large amounts of money had been withdrawn form my account and to press a number. No ID for which account. A SCAM. I put the phone down.

Fraud: automated message saying an online payment of £900 online on my VISA debit card card was about to be made. I don't have Visa.

SCAM - standard pre-recorded "you have had two charges on your account..." followed by "Press 1 to cancel etc..." Didn't actually get connected to anyone, but the MO is so obvious

Called saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, offering me an iphone. Thought I'd play along for a bit instead of hanging up. Asked where they're based so, so I could see if they're far from me. They hung up immediately. Ah well, so much for my game.

Someone just called from this no. claiming to be from Amazon. They were female with a strong Indian accent. Said someone had tried purchasing a Canon camera on my account last night in Germany. None of my personal details were confirmed with me and they wouldn't let me ask any questions. Obviously their tactic is to rush you in to the "cancellation" process as it's urgent. Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them.
