Called on our landline. Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't bother to say which bank). Apparently 2 transactions on my card (which one?!) £300 to Amazon and ..... I gave up at this point as it's obviously a scam. All our banks are based elsewhere so wouldn't phone from a local number and have mobile phones as first contact. Our number is recorded on Telephone Preference service but that doesn't seem to make any difference

Automated call two consecutive evenings around 7pm. Heavily accented voice - could not understand exactly but think he mentioned consolidating debt.
Foreign sounding pre-recorded message about a substantial VISA debitcard transaction. Obvious scam - messages from banks, etc do not usually start "Dear Customer". Use of an apparently local number is clearly an attempt to give it some credibility.

Has tried to ring my house phone now 3 days in a row! 2nd may @ 16.45pm 3rd may @ 19.10pm 4th may @12.15pm They will possably try again today 5th may at some point! Don't know who it is, but they rang off as soon as I answered. Possibly a wrong number, but interesting that others have reported being called from it as well.

Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.

I didn't really believe them and they tried to convince me to invest, along with trying to throw terms at me to sound smart. When they finally accepted that I wasn't interested, they abruptly hung up. Block this number!

SCAM - has to be. This number called me today. I do not answer unrecognised numbers. They left a voice mail, foreign voice, couldn't really pick up on everything said, voice was quite deep. They did say I needed to make a payment and to answer emails. Think this was a scam, it took a while to connect and then went through to a call centre. I asked who it was and then it hung up.

Fraud, claim to be from an appliance company offering an extended warranty. When questioned could not name the make or model of the appliance. Clearly not genuine.
Call went to answerphone and hung up. Called the number back and as with several similar calls from other numbers recently, the number was not recognised. Now blocked but it wasn't a legitimate number anyway.
