Phone rang and hug up before I could answer
Automated call saying they are from HMRC and if you don't press one now a warrant will be issued against you for fraud. Total scam.... avoid at all costs and do NOT press one. Apparently if you do you your telephone bill will be charged an extortionate amount of money - not sure how much because, fortunately, I did not press one!!!
I am abroad, I have had calls from this +44 20 7097 0859, two or three times a day for the last two days. NO message and it when I did answer it seemed to cut off. On calling it, its GLOBAL something and seems like RUBBISH and does not really connect. Generally not good.

I ve won an iPad according to the automated message this number delivered to me. So pigging annoying! Blocked and reported as spam and worth a watching!

Predictive dialler ... rang me many times, each time a silent call that lasted about 5 minutes before hanging up. When I FINALLY got a human, they gave me grief/threats about not completing the census. Then they tried to get me to fill out the form over the phone. Since it was an inbound call and I had no way to verify who they were I told then to bugger off... they didn't like that. They're still harassing me so I've blocked them.

So far I ve received two calls from this number within 24hrs after an online enquiry for broadband & phone with EE. I was just "shopping around" for a better deal. I don t think I ll bother to look any further now if this is what s going to happen as a result, with endless and unauthorised telesales calls. Called today, 11.38...Voice said "Hi my names Chris, a local energy advisor, I hope everyone is ok"....I didn't speak and after about 10 seconds the line cuts off. Initially you think its someone there, but it isn't. It says the first recorded part, then waits for a voice to answer, at which point it plays the next part, which usually talks over you. very clever, but a scam nonetheless. Just hang up or say nothing and you are good.
