After confirming I had been "exclusively" chosen to join their lottery syndicate, of which I politely declined, the caller commented on how nice I sounded on the phone, and could he personally keep in touch! Creepy!!
I have no idea why but I am repeateadly getting texts from this number and it says it is from Lurid Nature, the msg says thank you for being our client and if you are interested in more offers please visit our webpage. SCAM People posing as the Carphone Warehouse promising to buy out your phone contract and send you a shiny new phone for next to nothing. You have to give them your card details though.
Fraud Call was recorded message purporting to be from Amazon and saying that payent of £399 had been taken for my order, if I did not authorise this press 1. So hung up, so obviously a fraud. Caller ID on phone showed a local geographical number, most likely that this was fake. Telecoms companies should have a way of identifying the origin of these calls and should really address this lawbreaking, ie conspiracy to commit fraud.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?
