western oriental sounding gentleman said i had a fault with my computer. I told him i hadn't any fault he then dropped the call.

They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

Someone somewhere was or is being scammed by some fake investment groups and it is sad, this experience is harder than many people think. I was in that situation a few weeks ago, this fake website contacted me through my business email and we chatted and spoke on the phone numerous times until i was deceived to invest in their company. This is the HP support number. I had been speaking to them about an issue with my HP laptop, so they did have a legitimate reason to call me a few days ago, but the case had been closed so I chose not to take this call.

this number called and tried to gain info about my sky equipment. I imformed them that I had had a call from same number 24 hours before and was told that that was impossible as they were using a witheld number when I started to read their number out to them they hung up

Just done some business with Reed Rains so this looks like another example of passing (or selling on) personal data. The Consumers Association (Which) are currently running a program to identify and stop these sort of calls. I ll add this one to their list
