Call talking about a refund on my phone bill. Asked what company was involved and told it was BT. Apparently due a refund of £200! Told them not with that company. SCAM

Scam (Debt) kept the guy occupied for 15 mins giving him fake details from my end, he was insistant it wasnt a scam but when i questioned where he was and that i could hear bengali in the background he turned nasty calling me every bad name under the sun. if it is not a scam why get so rude. SCAM claims to be Tony from carphone warehouse. My Android identifies the caller as Al Kareem a legitimate company, so i answered, so it looks like they are trying to mask their Id by using that number when they call.

I had a email apparently from Meta (Facebook) to say this number (07956836341) had been added to my Facebook account and with a link to report this if it wasn’t me who added the number. The date on the email was wrong (Friday 6th June 2023 doesn’t exist). The link asked for my FB password so I didn’t continue. I checked my FB security details and no number had been added. It looks as though this is a scam to try to access FB passwords.
