this number called me today at 10:51 it said that I was doing something illegal and would be cut off from the internet today. I was to press number 1 to talk to an adviser. NOT GOING TO. I called the number and it is one of those that goes dead when you finish dialing.

Was told they were Consumer helpline, and i was owed an over payment on a loan in 2011. Never had a loan. so they were phishing. Was told they had been given the wrong information. did not recognise number. I answered but did not speak. there was a lot of background chatter, possibly a crowded office or call centre. caller just repeated "hello" without any introduction. they gave up after a few moments and just said "ok" and hung up.

Which I did (as I cancelled it 4 years ago already). Got what sounded like Asian children talking at high speed, very broken up. I traced the mobile phone to a field in Manchester. That is a legitimate business then?? I think not.
