PPI scam - calls my mobile several times a day, everyday. They ask for me by name then go on about I am due a PPI refund. They change their number by 1 digit, but I have blocked all of them so far, so their calls are now auto-rejected. My dad is in a hospice now and only has a short time left, so every time my phone rings, I panic. I m sick of these harassing calls!

Had a call from this number on my landline at 5:30pm on Wednesday 26th July. Heard two voices on the line when I answered - one a lady who identified herself by name & said she was a local energy adviser (although this phone number is not local to me) but did not give a company name, the other a gentleman talking in a foreign language. It appears that this number has been targeting Bournemouth, Manchester, London, Stirling and York. The No. hails from Northeast France and using Manchester as the UK hopping point.

This number was the one that appeared on my phone as having called me, after receiving an automated call supposedly from Visa, informing me of suspicious transactions on my account and to press 1 to accept or 2 if I did not. Later I phoned this number, using 141 beforehand so they would not know who called, and a man answered...just an "ordinary sounding guy", no mention of an office/bank/or fraud squad. I asked to speak to a random person and apologised for dailling a "wrong number"..

Just had a call to my landline from this number, saying it was a survey about loft installation and asking me to confirm a few details , which I refused to do, and then he said its nothing to worry about, I said I wasn't worried about anything otherwise it would be me ringing up someone, not them ringing me. I let him babble on a bit more and then said let me stop you there, it's my Husband you need to talk to not me and he's not in, so he just hung up. I would say this was a SCAM.
