I've had two calls from Burnside Plant which I didn't answer, using this number and a different number and hour later. No idea who they are or what they could possibly want. Sounds dodgy. I'm in Scotland.

They call 2 or 3 times a day, and when i answer, i always hear a conversation going on between the people in the office, then they go silent and hang up. I called back today and spoke to a sales agent Maurice James, who said he would remove my number from their account. i live in the area where the call number originates from but its not from here its usually someone from liverpool or up north with crap about car accident etc etc, tried calling it back but puts you on hold with music playing and american voice every now and again saying your call is important please hand on if only people could find a real job rather than harrassing people on a daily basis

My answerphone is permanently on to intercept this sort of thing. These people have started leaving malicious and abusive messages. Thought this went beyond telemarketing so reported them to police. Their response was to advise if I don t want abusive calls don t use answerphone! Not sure who s the bigger waste of space, cretinous telemarketers or the Met.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily.
