My Mum got scammed with a company called World IT pro saying they worked with Microsoft. They actually remote installed remote tracking software so they could see all her computer activity and charged her £300 for 'five years protection' - I called and complained and said I thought it was a scam and they refunded it (or it looks like they have - the money hasn't come back into the bank yet). They refunded my mum on the basis of what I said - did not get her authority to talk to me - SCAM

Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

This number is DANGEROUS! My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. Incident reported to the police already. Stay away from this number. They hide using this number so you won’t see their phone number.

SPAM Going by other reports it is a Bank Scam, claiming 2 dodgy payments on your account. But could also be the dreaded I'm calling from Microsoft - monitoring the worlds IP addresses and yours is being used illegally. Whoever they are block the number and relax. It might be good if you have your Banks fraud team number logged in the phones phone book.
