Had a missed call and so rang them back - company is Ascent Finances. Not a clue who they are or why they're calling. You can ring them back on 0161 820 1425 to have your number removed but I wonder if that opens up a whole new way for them to contact you. I'll just block

This number rang my mobile three times and uses my local code so I answered on the third attempt. A Welsh accent calling about life insurance, not likely to be actually local. Blacklisted.

James from The Forresters Children's charity. They were after £399 for an advert or £150 for a mention. Basically some sort of scam.

This number has called me nine time over the past seven days on my mobile - the number of which I only give out to friends and relatives. I have never answered it and blocked it after the first call. It never leaves a message and today when I tried to ring it back it didn't give a company name but said (in a very strong American accent), "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and we will connect you with the next available agent". This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. As people do search for this number, it should be used, so be aware - and checked also similar numbers, sometimes reported as ambulance chasers - car accidents (=insurance business).

Like everyone else, i was called about an accident I'd been in. They phoned me expecting my partner. She used my phone number for an insurance search site and since then I have been receiving unsolicited calls which we didn't opt in to. Look forward to GDP
