Almost certainly a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Block the number if you have the facility.

Spoofed number of a service supposedly to do with debt reduction by selling your fraudulent loans. Very bad line and unprofessional.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Internet search says it s a care line company called Tendring of Clacton on Sea in Essex.

Called to say could stop unwanted calls by paying £39.99 one off admin charge. Said they were from Telephone preference service.

Received a call on my mobile at around 11.30am, and was told I had a refund via PPI from a credit card or loan. Had to ask me which one and from which bank. (Should know all this before calling me, how else would they know if I m owed anything?) I walked in that shop PC PROBLEMS the other day and the guy was watching porn. I found an excuse and left.

Called (twice) to tell me that a survey showed few people in my area with alarm. Explained I have one and not interested. 2nd time asked to be removed from list as on TPS. Have now blocked on BT as well
