This number keeps calling me and is a nuisance call touting for business - it is a scam - put the phone down instantly and blacklist the number.

Asked for "business owner" and slammed the phone down when I asked who he was.

1 call from this. no. on 27/1/15, ignored it. 2 further calls on 28/1/15, ignored them. A call this am 29/1/15 - I answered. Polite British accented woman responded, informing me she was from some hearing company - she knew my name and asked me if I had ever worked in an industry that involved loud noise. I responded saying that I have never worked in an environment that affected my hearing. She then asked what industry I have worked in. Received a call from this number, answered but no-one spoke. Decided to stay on the line to see what happened. Complete silence for about 30 seconds then the line went dead. When I 1471 d I got the number 0161 918 0023. On calling the number, I am informed that "This number is temporarily out of order"! Can someone please explain to me the legality of this? The number is obviously NOT out of order when they call me but it is when I call them? Of course it s a scam and, as usual, there seems to be no recours
