SCAM- 0128 240981 I've been bombarded by calls from similar 0128 numbers for past couple weeks. I finally answered this one today (28th October) and it was a lady with an oversees accent with echoey background noise saying she was from the National Debtline. She knew my name and kept asking me to confirm it but I didn't and I kept asking who she was then hung up when she said she was from the debtline. They don't cold call you and it's a totally different number so I blocked it.
Scam company trying to charge a one off fee of £149 to block all nuisance calls. Call originated from India. He could't see the irony when I asked him why he was calling me. When I politely told him I wasn't interested in paying for his services he told me to F off and hung up

Received a phone call from this number, claiming that I had ordered an iphone from Amazon, and they wanted details from me to cancel the order. I hung up. No i phone had been ordered from my account.
As per previous comment, a male voice, possibly automated, claimed to be calling in response to my requesting a repair. Co incidentally I had rung a roofer for a quote earlier, so possibly my phone is being tracked in spite of having anti spyware on it.

Call center Asked for my wife by name, renewal due on TV care package I challenged, said it was a scam because my wife left all TV to me and we have never had cover. I asked for proof and was assured they had proof, when I said my wife had died years ago they could not progress their payment request, as any debt had ceased. Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.
