scam phone call claiming to have a job offer from a recruitment database.

My number on contract with o2 taken over by fraudster. O2 cancelled the number but it has been used in attempts to access my credit cards. Also possibly being used as a debit card app. number. Police and Action Fraud are aware.

Called saying from 02 on a very bad line offering loyalty discount. Said I wasn’t interested so he hung up and then got a security text from o2 with a one time code on it saying if someone has called me, they don’t work for o2 and to hang up the phone

Bit of digging on Linkedin etc confirm this and that is it a cover for many businesses including call centres. Tells you all you need to know.

SCAM I was out when this number called. They did not leave a message on my answer phone but the number was recorded on my incoming call information system. Using a recall system it was found the number had become non-existent and was therefore no longer traceable. This would indicate that it is from a SCAM telephone number/company. They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc

SCAM text saying that Simon could not deliver parcel from the Post Office and could I fill in my details. I filled in a pile of crap and they only stopped me going further this time because they cannot count and apparently I am in London...news to me. The call came from Manchester yet again probably rerouted from a call centre abroad. I have blocked the number as always.
