Indian guy called up claiming I ve had an accident in the last 3 years, I advised the guy no I haven t had an accident, line went silent for a moment. He then asked if I can do him a favour? Which was to lend him money as he is from Pakistan and has no money, I immediately put the phone down.

Called today and asked for me by name. Sounded suspicious I did not acknowledge that but asked "who is this?" a couple of times and the line then went dead. Rang 1471 to get the number and then called it back with 141 in front of it and the line; thus this is one of latest scams where to callers hide behind a false but apparently valid so as to get round call identity phones

It seems these companies are only doing there targets, As the customer says yes (with OVR function) they just deduct the amount from your account Debit/Credit Card. The biggest fool part is that they are not with there words and for this they have to pay now. My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. Incident reported to the police already. Stay away from this number. They hide using this number so you won’t see their phone number.
Just received a call. When I answered, a beeped sounded, an automatic voice said "goodbye" and the connection ended. SCAM Asian sounding male purporting to be from BT Openreach saying our internet speeds were markedly low and he could help with this problem. I said we regularly check our up and download speeds and as we're on Fibre to the Premises with BT our usual speed is around 400mbs. He put the phone down. I imagine he was going to ask for ££ to enhance our speed.

Did neither and rang off. Then contacted BT who confirmed that this was a SCAM call
