Started taking Direct Debit from my account, after I told them I didn t need continuing insurance on an appliance I don t own anymore. Call blocker activated as they called 2/3 times a day, wanting to know why I had cancelled the DD. Very Annoying!!

Silence on landline then very difficult to understand speech which I think said "you have a problem with.." I said I beg your pardon? and their phone went down. Suggests scammer tho unusual on uk 01 landline number.

I have had several calls from this number offering me a payday loan, the callers English is very poor and have used different names for the company they work for on occasion, definitely not a trustworthy caller.

Had the same call asked him for his name which he said was Stan Cooper which I doubt. Would not give up until I told him I was contacting the police he swiftly hung up.

introduced himself as from TPS, Telephone protection service and then some scam about attaching a box to line to stop nuisance calls which they would charge 50p a week for for 3 years.Awful that they are masquerading as Telephone Preference Service. NEVER call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed number which could be a very expensive call.
