As with other responders, the caller tried to imply that there were changes to my domestic insurance cover but no worries, they could fix it for me. Did I have a pencil and paper ready? When I pointed out that I get daily nuisance calls so put the request in writing, the line went dead. im registered with TPS but what s the point - it makes no difference!

Had a few calls today from this number, the last one just now at almost 11.30 at night. Can t say what I would do to them given a chance. That s not just a nuisance (non) call, how dare they ring so late at night? Something really needs to be done. We are on the telephone preference list, and that seems to no longer make any difference. These disgusting excuses for humans should be prosecuted and locked up forever.

After reading the reviews on here I thought I d give them a pop as they seemed legit when they rang and had correct info. Surprised me a bit but ended up winning me some ppi back that had previously been declined. Happy customer here.

this number just rung saying they can offer an early upgrade to my contract with Three (I m actually with three), but the man new nothing about my contract and asked me how much I spent on average on my phone. If it was a genuine call regarding offering me an upgrade for my existing contract he would at least knew how much I spent every month! Then he hanged up. Yes this number is AO.com and yes they do know what you ordered. However this is the Sales end of their organisation so BEWARE (Its probably even a separate company just trading under the same name) . They are calling on the pre-text of your order with AO.com but are very aggressively trying to sell you appliance breakdown cover! Their script is well rehearsed leading you to believe they re on the service side of your purchase and calling about further delivery information. Try ringing them on this numb

I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner s Office. As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.

Called asking to verify my name & address, they had both wrong, so then wanted my name & address. I asked why but this Indian or Pakistani kept waffling & would not say why, so I hung up. Next time I shall use a tuning fork over the ear piece, so it explodes his end!
