This is one of numerous calls regarding so called “domestic appliance cover”. Callers have been told to take my number off list but have not done so. Incidentally, I don’t have appliance cover and don’t want it !

My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. The number identifies the message as RoyalMail contacting me. The mispelling of Royal Mail is reason enough to be suspiciouss. The asked me to click a link to redirect me to a web page to arrange delivery of a parcel they couldn't deliver. I have nothing on order and I am sure Royal Mail would not mispell their own name or contact me from a mobile. 100% a scam if like my elderly mother, you now look these strange numbers up online before responding.

SCAM This is a scam call claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me that my computer is highly compromised and they need to secure it. Yet they called my nans old landline which I wanted to keep when they house was sold following my uncles death so I had it redirected to my phone. I know this is a scam as they used my uncles name and he had been dead since 2020 so there is no way his computer was sending them any reports

They claimed to be from my bank (VM money was Yorkshre Bank) to ask me about potential fraud on my card. (£52 on Argos in Aberdeen) I was supicious when they got agressive when I didn't know my banking paswword and I said I would have to call them back. I called the fraud number I have in my phone (0800 121 4251) and they confirmed it wasn't them that called me before. The chap on the actual fraud line also said that the real bank won't ask for any part of or all your internet banking password EVER!
