American accent male stating they are calling from the financial conduct authority and have suspicious transactions on one of my accounts. “Press 1 to talk to a person about this” Generic auto call, no specific info sounds like a scam possibly but I ended the call without doing anything.

They have blocked the employer from withdrawing and also the group Whatsapp which is suspected to be a fraudulent platform. Fraudulently claim to be O2, this is a LIE, these people are criminals. They would probably try to steal personal information for identity or financial theft if not called out as liars. They dropped the call when challenged.
Very odd. Lady said she was doing research on behalf of a US charity into healthcare and no personal data would be taken. Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. Very odd and certainly not into giving my views on our amazing NHS to a country that wants to bloody buy it off us!!
