SCAM A recorded message said I was being investigated for tax fraud and a criminal case was being made against me. All my tax affairs are completely in order. I was instructed to press one to find out more which of course I ignored. I am extremely angry about this call which was quite upsetting - when life is difficult enough at the moment.

Today I have received my third consecutive call from these people in three days. Each call implied that my computer had been compromised. Todays call was the most aggressive so far. Because I refused to switch on my computer I was told that they would put a block on my access and that I will be billed for £200.

I had a call from this number where a somewhat threatening female voice informed me that criminal charges were about to be brought against me. I'm a 74 year old female who, while maybe not quite fitting the description of an angel, has not committed any crimes, heinous or otherwise. Were I the type who was easily intimidated I might have pressed 1 to see further details but luckily I'm not so I didn't. I'd love to punch this so and so right in the kisser but that WOULD be criminal - but deserved!!

I believe this company is Harringtons Advisory ltd. PPI,Pensions,Accidents,Mortgages,debts, and other claims calls. I have found 67 phone numbers for them so far, and 35 of them end in 063. This company is under investigation by the Claims Management Regulator, but thats only for the PPI side of it. I have had nothing but hassle from this company. A woman with heavily accented English called me this morning from a number with our local dialling code saying the call was from BT and there were reports that we were having trouble with the internet. No problems at all and I said so. She asked me to try the internet, so I told her I couldn’t hear her very well. She cut the call. Funny that! I phoned the number and was told it wasn’t in service!!
