Yet another spam robocall, I let it keep ringing and didn't answer, they left a ominous robotic female voicemail saying "bye".
Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.

Any legitamate reason to verify a phone number would include verification of the recipient, and that's unlikely because of fraud.
