SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Stopped the call, turned laptop on & off, messages disappeared. Call rec'd from 01158881064

Text message left claiming to be from a child of mine, but didn’t give a name. Asked me to WhatsApp them and this was their new number, for a new phone as the old number was for the old damaged phone. It just struck me as odd so ignored and then blocked the number. I believe it was an attempt to get me to engage and was a scam.

Guy contacted me on Grinder - a gay dating app; and pushes you to register in a shady crypto website. He is very insistent, for days, sending messages, etc. I checked the reputation of the site he was recommending: coinup, and realized it was a scam.

This would appear to be a scam as apparently called by banks fraud department But why would the bank be calling from Germany

Cold-calling scam regarding "financial market investments", likely based overseas as the caller's proferred name did not seem to correlate with their accent. Nervous laughter and unconvincing denial from the caller when accused of being a scammer and asked if they were based in Kolkata. Avoid.

Phone call received at 1105hrs this morning ( 12th April ) caller with an Asian accent introduced herself as Mary from Sky Technical support advising me that they had received several reports that my internet was causing problems. I terminated the call at this point.

01315105459 called me this evening from Edinburgh. She had an English accent and knew my name and marital status and number. She claimed to deal with policy's and worked for royal London. When asked where she got my private data info she said "from the same place I get everyone's, from Facebook where you clicked on a like and accepted marketing from us". I know I didn't! SCAM!!!!

I received a call 2 days ago from 07477423611 I do not answer if I dont know I heard the message that was left from this number and it was the end of a recorded voice saying something like quot if you do not take action we will complain to the authoritiesquot So it is a scam Today I got a call from a similar number 07477853867 I blocked it immediately

Automated voice said my card had been used on Amazon and to press 1 if it was not me. None of my banks are in this area so this is a scam.

SCAM This number called me today claiming to be from the carphone warehouse, i told them i didn't have an account with them they proceeded to say they knew and offered me a 'good deal' i said i was happy with my supplier! I was them shouted at by the caller telling me not to ring them again, i said i didn't, you rang me then the caller became abusive telling me not to answer the phone to them again!!! I had a letter from Bluestone Credit Management (or so I thought), the other day. I am now thinking it could be a scam letter because when I did some checking on the internet the phone number (01142 317 413), on the letter was completely different then the phone number given on Bluestone’s internet site. I am now going to forward a copy of the letter to HMRC to see if they can confirm if it is fake.
