The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Recorded message. Rapid speech. Didn't catch who it claimed to be from, but stated that certain suspicious charges had been made to my account or card. Asked me to press option 1 etc. No doubtI would have been asked for security info in order 'to identify me'.

Scam trying to say they from Amazon and your account either needs to be cancelled or they will let it run for another £79.99 Then they ask you to open App Store on your phone PLEASE DONT they can get into your phone if you do and get access to your information IE bank details etc.

Fraud - they'll send you a fake track and trace message which takes you to an official looking website but it's not the government's one. If you fill your details they'll take money out of your account. Watch out - SCAM

Silent call blocked it. Whilst coking found I was put on hold. Reported. Not safe call. Potential fraud or spam.

As with the previous review, received a text supposed to be from Apple telling me my wallet features have been put on hold, due to an unusual transaction, and to visit the link in the text message. Needless to say I have not got an Apple wallet and did not click the link. I assume it's a scam.

I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.

Was called by a foreign lady who i could hardly understand supposedly from Vodaphone saying i am elligible for upgrade of my phone but told her im unemployed so can't afford to do it. I do not trust any unknown numbers from cold callers so more than likely a scam call.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. SCAM! Claiming to be calling from Microsoft in relation to a device that is compromised. Caller kept changing tact from it being a product in my name to one in my husbands name, and from a device to a license then refused to give details of what was alleged to be compromised.

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.
