Caller told me she was from the company I bought my PC from & there were issues due to downloads. She asked me to go to my computer...... at that point I realised she was trying to access my PC illegally. I asked her if she was going to try & extract financial information from me & she hung up.

Same automated phone message stating that my National Insurance number had been used in criminal activity and to Press 1 to speak to a National Crimes Agency operative. Total BS...

It uses a computer program to ring your number, and if you answer, and an agent is available to talk to you they will, but if not, some hear a ‘goodbye’ some a essage, and some hear nothing.
