SCAM Scam Call. Fake western name. Knew my name. Told me I was being investigated for an investment which was apparently a scam. Asked me: Did you make any investments recently. This number has rang me twice now, the male on the other end says, you have just rang this number. Yesterday I told them no I haven't and they asked who it was, so I asked who they were. They said you rang this number and I reiterated I hadn't and they said you have, so I said no I haven't and told them to go away and put the phone down. Today they said again you have just called this number, so this time I told them to get lost and put the phone down. I don't know this number possible new scam going on

I believe that someone called me from this number was trying to con me. I was told that my bill was being reduced by two pound. I simply said ok thank you and hung up. This call came out of the blue and I live by the phrase if it comes to you out of the blue, it's not for you.
The phone number was received in Germany by a fax machine. There are no business or private relationships with the UK. The fax machine could not receive a message. Wrong dialing or spam?

I have already reported this number. It is the dialling code owned by mobile provider Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. I do not know the ID of the phone number 874428 other than what garbled message I've heard suggests it may be from India. I'm unable to make a connection but Hutchinson's have an Indian call centre; from a limited number of reviews it seems Hutchinson's don't have a very good reputation as a provider of services.

Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. Then give them a mouthful of verbal abuse when you are ready to hang up. Number was +44 (0) 7444496409.

As I have been at home all day and I have not ordered anything I am reluctant to contact these people. Nobody came to my door as I have CCTV and nobody has called here today. This frightens me as I am an old lady.
SCAM He was called Paul, tried to tell my daughter who is 15 years old that she is in debt, when she didn't understand he started saying very vile disgusting inappropriate sexual degrading things to her. When she started to sound upset he shouted violent threats down the phone. Have got it recorded, so going to the police. Be very careful of this number.
